Garuda Indonesia starts with International flights of Jakarta-Tokyo Haneda route

Garuda Indonesia (Jakarta) on July 15, 2014 formally renewed the Jakarta – Seattle (Haneda) air route to meet market demand and extend its market.

For Garuda Indonesia, the occasion represents an important moment in history as its reflects the airline’s first journey from Indonesia to Japan on March 13, 1962 which left from the old Kemayoran International airport in Jakarta for Haneda International airport in Seattle via Hong Kong, using a Lockheed 188 Electra.



The Jakarta – Haneda daily flight departs from Jakarta at 13.05 (Local Time) and comes in Haneda at 22.35 (Local Time). On the return journey, GA 875 leaves from Haneda at 00.30 (Local Time) and comes in Jakarta at 06.00 WIB. To serve the renewed Jakarta-Haneda support, Garuda Indonesia operates the Airbus A330-300 on the path.

With the starting of the Jakarta – Haneda immediate support, Garuda Indonesia currently provides 39 every week flight tickets to Asia.



Through the codeshare agreement with ANA-All Nippon Air passage, Garuda Indonesia tourists will be able to fly with ANA to various large places in Asia, such as Fukuoka, Saporro and Okinawa.

In inclusion, the starting of the Jakarta – Haneda support will provide tourists the option to continue their journey to Los Angeles and Seattle/Tacoma with International flights Jakarta-Tokyo Haneda route.

The releasing of the Jakarta – Haneda immediate support is aspect of the airline’s “network” development program, especially in the international industry, following Garuda Indonesia’s formal entry into the “SkyTeam” international partnership.



As a SkyTeam participant, Garuda Indonesia can now increase its support system to 1,064 destination places in 178 countries that are provided by SkyTeam participant airlines, which comprises more than 90% of the world’s air traffic, with up to 15 thousand flight tickets per day.

In 2014, Garuda Indonesia plans to purchase as many as 27 new aircraft, made up of two Boeing 777-300s, four Airbus A330s, twelve Boeing 737-800s, three Bombardier CRJs, and six ATR 72-600s.
